ONE Boomerangs Adam Carroll
Hi, my name is Adam Carroll I first got hooked on boomerangs when I was a kid living in Sydney Australia, I remember going on a school camp and we had a woodworking class and the lesson was how to make a boomerang, I remember making the boomerang with basic woodworking tools, I was amazed when the boomerang actually returned with a nice hover, I took the boomerang home with me and remember throwing it at home in the front yard, I think I was around 11 years old. I didn’t think any more about boomerangs till much later in life when I was looking for a hobby to do, I remember watching the TV one night and the last story on the news was a boomerang competition, seeing that on TV sparked an interest to have a go at throwing, I was hungry for any information I could get my hands on, I purchased a basic tourist boomerang from boomerang thrower Stephen Silady, I threw that boomerang night and day, any opportunity to have a throw, even rain, hail or a thunderstorm didn’t stop me, I was totally obsessed, I would drive my car around at night looking for parks with lights on to throw in. It wasn’t long before I needed more specialised boomerangs as I started throwing in competition, the old traditional boomerang wasn’t going to cut it in competition, it was then I decided to start making boomerangs myself, I had already some woodworking machinery in the garage that would easily do a good job, initially I was just making boomerangs for myself, it wasn’t long before other throwers could see that the boomerangs I made were high performance, I started selling a few here and there to other throwers and a retailers. My wife and I moved to Tasmania in 2004 in search of a better life, we moved several times and finally settling in Claremont, a suburb of Hobart.  I am very lucky to have an amazing wife and talented son, our pride and joy !
